I was born in Canada and have been involved in communication for over 25 years. The early part of my career began as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Toyko, Japan. Afterwards, in Canada and Germany, I have taught at Universities and provided corporate training for ESL and ESP ( English for Special Purposes). Through training, I saw that my client’s difficulties in doing global business were not about grammar and vocabulary but more about cultural differences and how it hinders communication. Having a psychology degree and being an ex-pat myself, this aspect of communication fascinates me.  Twelve years ago, my focus turned to intercultural training, specializing in workshops for international companies doing business in North America, Europe and  Asia.
